About me & vida staccato
“Nothing compares with the journey on your own feet.”
Here is Vida Staccato, a lifestyle blog aims to encourage people to experience the good life. You will find articles about music, travel, food, relationship as well as my self-learning journey of turning to digital nomad.
My goal is to record things bringing me happiness and inspire those who are thinking to start their own journeys like me, also keep myself remembering the paths I’ve walked through.
Who am I?
I am Shao, I grew up in an oboriginal family in Taiwan. When I was 17, I set up the goal to visit Latin America, after saving money for a year, I went to Ecuador as a volunteer. From then on, I fell in love with advantures and decided to keep exploring the unknown world through my own way. After graduating from college, I started visiting a place by having a full-time job there, in order to earn money and get more times to experience the local life. I did feel fulfilled by working as sales engineer in Dubai and Mexico during two years, but soon I realized this couldn’t be a long-term plan, for a nine-to-five job occupied most of my time and I gradually prefered taking rest at home instead of going out in my leisure time ><
I asked myself every day “how can I achieve work-life balance?” and “can I make money from interests?”, I don’t get an answer until now, but as a person loving to take advantures, I will always take a try even though it seems to be foolish- this is me.
What does vidastaccato mean?
“vida” means life in Spanish.
“staccato” is a musical note that signifies short and detached.
In this rapid-changing era, plans never catch up with changes. Every plan is like a staccato note, it may be short and jumpy, but even so, I believe we always have abilities to make our lives as beautiful as a piece of touching music.
